'Good boy' Angus draws fans

The popular appeal of top badminton player Angus Ng Ka-long lives on as more than 10,000 audience members showed in a livestream on Wednesday night.

After being embroiled in the jersey saga, Ng responded to most of the questions raised by netizens. "I slept well in the cardboard beds, as they are sturdy," Ng said. "I also took home a duvet with 'Tokyo 2020' printed on it as a souvenir" (pictured).

He was satisfied with the buffet-style meal arrangements, but was tired of eating the same food over and over again. "While there was an unlimited refill of soft drinks, I only touched tea and juice as I was such a good boy," Ng said. He was also disappointed he could not choose where to stay in Tokyo as it was a trek everywhere, including the competition venue and souvenir shop, in the sweltering heat.

"I will not take part in the China National Games as I need some time to adjust after the Tokyo Olympics, and I will train in Hong Kong before joining a competition in Europe in October," Ng said.
