Two Sessions preparations

Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu has met with Hong Kong representatives from the national legislature and political advisory body at the government headquarters in preparation for next week's Two Sessions in Beijing.

Lee exchanged views with 100 members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference on Tuesday and about 30 deputies to the National People's Congress yesterday.

"The deputies and members provided their insights and ideas by proposing viewpoints and suggestions that aligned with the national development and the actual situation in Hong Kong," Lee said.

During a two-hour exchange with 36 deputies, discussions covered a wide range of topics, including economic development, the upcoming National Games, and cross-border data flow, as noted by deputy Gordon Lam Chi-wing.

Starry Lee Wai-king, the city's sole delegate to the NPC Standing Committee, welcomed the chief executive's response to the deputies' suggestions.
