A man was spotted lying in the middle of Castle Peak Road in a "suicidal-style" manner while vehicles passed by, sparking discussions on road safety.The video showed the man, wearing a blue coat, lying on the road towards Kam Tin and Sheung Shui, where there was heavy traffic. Vehicles traveling near him had to quickly swerve or change lanes, potentially putting the driver and passengers at risk.
In a 29-second video, which went viral online yesterday, the man appeared very calm, crossed his arms and looked at the sky, completely ignoring the vehicles speeding past him.

Citizens debated over the man's crazy behavior online, questioning whether drivers would be held liable if the man was accidentally hit and killed. "He is waiting for death," one online user commented.
Police received a report at 5.56pm on Wednesday that a person was sitting and lying in the middle of Castle Peak Road opposite Pok Oi Hospital and officers found a drunk man at the scene.
