Santa takes over Hong Kong postboxes

Postboxes decorated with Christmas trees have gone viral across Hong Kong, with many people rushing to take pictures with them.

Some citizens have spotted a postbox on Queen's Road East decorated with a small Christmas tree on top and stickers of Santa Claus on the box body and uploaded pictures on Facebook groups.

"I also saw post boxes with decoration, too, the design is very interesting and thoughtful," an online user commented. Some also discovered postboxes with decorations in Sheung Shui, Tuen Mun, and other areas.

This came as the Hong Kong Tourism Board and Hongkong Post cooperated to decorate 70-second pouch boxes, which are located in various places for the temporary storage of mail to be delivered by postmen, into Christmas trees, waiting for citizens and tourists to discover.

The campaign will last until January 1 of next year.
