New chair to take Ngong Ping 360 higher

Sammy Wong Kwan-wai has been appointed chairman of Ngong Ping 360.

Wong will succeed Jeny Yeung Mei-chun on October 1.

Wong, currently MTR Corp's mainland business director, oversees projects spanning Beijing, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Tianjin, and Macau, said he is honored to take on the new role at Ngong Ping 360, which has seen more than 23 million local and international visitors riding the cable car over the years.

"I anticipate collaborating with the board members and the Ngong Ping 360 team to strive for enhancements and to offer guests fresh travel experiences in the times ahead," Wong said.

Outgoing chair Yeung said she was pleased to have witnessed the "consistent growth and breakthroughs" over the past years.

"Sammy Wong is a determined and experienced executive.

"I believe that, by closely working with the team, Ngong Ping 360 will surely reach new heights."
