Sino Group and the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation have partnered with NGO Integrated Brilliant Education to establish the IBEL Rusy and Purviz Shroff Charitable Foundation Kindergarten.
The school commenced operations in April, and the foundation has donated a total of HK$1.5 million over three years.
Acknowledging the educational difficulties of non-Chinese speaking children, the kindergarten has programs that bridge educational and cultural experiences, while targeting Chinese language proficiency from an early age.
IBEL's learning centers in Jordan and Sham Shui Po have supported more than 30,000 students from non-Chinese-speaking communities.
"This milestone serves as a testament to our dedication to providing equal learning opportunities and welcoming underserved children from all backgrounds, transcending cultural boundaries," said Manoj Dhar, co-founder and chief executive officer of IBEL and school supervisor of the kindergarten, thanking the Sino Group and NTFCF for their invaluable support.
