The water monitor lizard - dubbed the five-clawed golden dragon Aberdeen - at Kadoorie Farm will greet people in the Year of the Dragon on February 12 and 13 as the farm will open on those days for people to enjoy the blossoms, ascend Kwun Yum Shan for good luck and pay a visit to the animal ambassador.
New photos spots have also been set up in the farm.
Citizens can appreciate all kinds of blooming flowers and unique creatures during the festive season - including over a hundred Taiwan cherry trees. The bell-shaped flowers hang at the tips of branches, filling up the site with its vibrant pink colors and its symbol of fortunate to bless visitors with "high achievement in academics and numerous offspring."
A lantern display has also been set up for flower appreciation and festive celebrations. The hanging of colorful lanterns symbolizes family reunions, with the 15th day of the Lunar New Year designated as the Lantern Festival.
