Citybus adds new payment method

Passengers can pay fares on Citybus using WeChat Pay HK and Weixin Pay from Sunday.

The new payment methods will be available for use across all the bus services of Citybus, including Cityflyer, boundary and urban bus routes.

Adult fares are pre-set on the e-Payment system.

Children under 12 and eligible senior citizens aged 65 or above can enjoy fare concessions by pressing the touch screen button on the fare reader before scanning their e-wallet QR codes. Citybus now offers a wide range of e-payment options for citizens, including Octopus, contactless credit cards, mobile credit card payments and transit QR codes, which aims to provide smart mobility and seamless services.
