Passengers can take a free ride on the New World First Bus Route 25 between Central and Braemar Hill on Sunday.
The company wants to say thank you to customers for their support over the past 25 years.
Four buses with the classic "wave" livery will cover the route and all passengers can travel free, including the elderly and people with disabilities who get the HK$2 fare concession. Route 25 is a circular route from Central to Braemar Hill in North Point, passing through Admiralty, Wan Chai and Causeway Bay.
The commercial director of Citybus and NWFB, Newton Ng Yee-kwan, said the free ride day is the climax of NWFB farewell events as the franchise will merge with Citybus on July 1.
After launching the "NWFB Thankful Festival" last month, the company says it will continue to hold "flash events" this month to distribute gifts of limited-edition bus key chains on different bus routes and at stations.
