Two drivers were injured in a collision at the junction of Waterloo Road and Wylie Road in Yau Ma Tei on Thursday night, with police investigating whether the crash was caused by a red-light violation.
The incident occurred around 11pm when a female driver in an electric car, traveling along Waterloo Road towards To Kwa Wan, turned right onto Wylie Road. A male driver traveling along Waterloo Road towards Kwong Wah Hospital collided head-on with the vehicle.
Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene without requiring hospitalisation. The front ends of both cars were severely damaged, with at least one airbag deployed. Debris was scattered across the road, causing traffic disruption.
