Two arrested after gold chain snatched in Kennedy Town

Two men were arrested on Monday after allegedly snatching a gold chain worth about HK$5,000 from a 53-year-old male staff member at a hair salon in Kennedy Town, police said.

The incident occurred around 4pm at a shop on Sai Cheung Street, where two strangers entered and took the chain before fleeing. 

After investigation, police recovered the gold chain from a gold shop in Sham Shui Po and arrested a 54-year-old local man and a 33-year-old local man in Sha Tin on suspicion of robbery. Both are being detained for questioning. Some of the proceeds from the alleged sale of the chain were also recovered.
