The eldest son of former Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Jeremy Lam Jit-si, has joined Southwest University’s Center of Chinese and Greek Ancient Civilizations to begin postdoctoral research in classical studies.

Southwest University’s Center of Chinese and Greek Ancient Civilizations announced via its official account that Jeremy Lam has formally joined the center for postdoctoral work.
He holds a mathematics bachelor’s degree from the University of Cambridge and both master’s and doctoral degrees in classics from Trinity College Dublin. His research focuses on Hellenistic poetry, the Homeric Hymns, and intertextuality in classical literature.
He previously worked as an operations manager at Xiaomi, involved in software development.
The center is a flagship educational and cultural exchange platform between China and Greece, jointly established by eight universities from both countries.
The Chinese secretariat is based at Southwest University, while the Greek secretariat is at the University of Athens.
