Media personality Poon Siu-man arrested in connection to Jason Poon's $6m loan fraud case: sources

According to sources, a former assistant of Jason Poon Chuk-Hung and KOL Poon Siu-man was arrested at the airport upon returning to Hong Kong as part of a police probe into an alleged HK$6 million fraud involving the “Special 100% Loan Guarantee" obtained by Lockill Biochemical Limited in 2021.

Poon Siu-man faces suspected conspiracy to defraud charges alongside businessman Jason Poon, his wife, and three other former employees.

Police searched her home after the airport detention.

She previously served as Jason Poon’s assistant but was dismissed in June 2021. She later won a labor claim against him for around HK$110,000 in unpaid wages, notice pay and related amounts, with the court ordering payment plus legal costs.

The two have clashed in court multiple times.

Poon Siu-man obtained a temporary injunction against Jason Poon over alleged defamatory statements on his Facebook page and YouTube channel.

In November 2024, he admitted civil contempt of court for failing to remove the content, receiving a 21-day jail sentence (suspended pending appeal) and HK$400,000 in costs.
