East Rail Line signal fault fixed; delays ease after 13 minutes

MTR repaired a signal fault near Fo Tan Station within 13 minutes on Monday, ending brief slowdowns that added 15–20 minutes to East Rail Line journeys.

MTR resolved a signal equipment fault near Fo Tan Station by 6.52pm today, restoring normal East Rail Line service after brief slowdowns added 15-20 minutes to journeys between Admiralty and Lo Wu/Lok Ma Chau.

Trains reduced speed between University and Sha Tin stations from around 6.39pm.

Engineering teams completed repairs quickly, and services are now returning to normal.
