The tournament has been upgraded with an additional day of competition, allowing players and spectators to stay longer in Hong Kong.
Organizers anticipate this will significantly increase spending on hotels, dining, and retail, as both professional golfers and international visitors tend to be high-spending groups.
The event has received "M" Mark status from the Major Sports Events Committee (MSEC), confirming its importance.
A field of 57 players will compete, featuring top names such as American Bryson DeChambeau and Spain’s Jon Rahm.
Prize money has risen to US$30 million, and venue improvements include an expanded fan village and enhanced player lounges.
