A fire broke out on the balcony of a high-rise apartment in Mid-Levels on Monday night but was extinguished by residents before firefighters arrived.
Police received a report around 7pm that a balcony at Realty Gardens on Conduit Road was on fire. Firefighters arrived to find the blaze had already been put out by occupants. No one was injured.
A preliminary investigation suggests the fire was started accidentally when a barbecue flame ignited a canister of cooking gas on the balcony.
Online footage showed flames on the balcony before they were quickly put out.
