The iconic designs include the classic silver fuselage of the Douglas DC-3, affectionately known as "Betsy," the first green and white-themed livery of the Convair 880, the legendary "lettuce leaf sandwich" design, and the modern "brushwing" logo.
These themed trams will travel various routes across Hong Kong Island until February 19, allowing residents to engage with the airline's rich legacy.
Speaking at the special themed tram parade on Sunday, Cathay Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau Hoi-zee emphasized that the city's flag carrier has grown together with Hong Kong, navigating many changes, challenges, and breakthroughs over different eras.

She said one of the A350 aircraft has been adorned with the vintage lettuce leaf livery since early January, garnering a warm reception from residents. A Boeing 747 freighter will soon be dressed in this same beloved design.
In addition, more than 2,000 ground staff and cabin crew members will don 10 different vintage uniforms that reflect the cultural and aesthetic trends of various eras.
These uniforms include military-inspired attire from the 1940s, Cathay's first bold red uniforms featuring Chinese-style buttons introduced in the 1960s, and the A-line miniskirts complemented by round hats from 1969.
Lau said that the airline remains committed to continuous improvement, investing in enhancing the customer experience to become the most beloved service brand among its passengers.
