The three-day Farmfest HK, organized by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, opened today at Fa Hui Park in Mong Kok, featuring over 400 stalls selling fresh local produce, seafood, vegetables and snacks made with homegrown ingredients.

Crowds queued early outside the entrance, with many shoppers bringing trolleys to stock up on Lunar New Year goods, including fresh fish, dried seafood and soup ingredients, despite higher prices.
A local fisherman selling dried seafood hoped for a 20 percent sales increase this year, though morning footfall appeared lower than previous years.
A major food brand representative noted a 20 percent drop last year due to changing consumer habits and is offering promotions to boost turnout.
Organizing committee chairman Eric Lau Kin-wai said this marks the event's 20th year, with workshops added for a better visitor experience.
Last year attracted around 163,000 visitors, with similar numbers expected this year.
