Tai Mong Tsai Road between Pak Tam Chung Adventure Park and Sai Kung Man Yee Road will face intermittent closures from 7.25am to 7.35am and again from 7.55am to 8.05am.
The section of Sai Kung Man Yee Road from its junction with Tai Mong Tsai Road extending south for about 8.3 kilometers will be fully closed from 7.30am to 1.30pm.
During the closure of Sai Kung Man Yee Road, New Territories green minibus route 9A from Pak Tam Chung to High Island Reservoir East Dam will suspend services starting from the 9.30am departure until 1.30pm, and taxis will also be prohibited from entering the area until roads reopen.
Visitors wishing to reach the East Dam must walk, with the route from Pak Tam Chung covering approximately 9.5 kilometers and taking at least two hours and 13 minutes according to Google Maps, or about 2.5 hours along Section 1 of the MacLehose Trail as advised by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department.
A government spokesperson urged the public to plan journeys early, follow on-site instructions, and prioritize safety.
Relevant departments are coordinating closely with event organizers and minibus operators to enhance services upon road reopening and manage passenger flow in line with police traffic controls.
Police may implement additional short-notice measures based on actual conditions, including adjustments to closure areas or further public transport changes.
Motorists and visitors should stay alert, exercise patience, follow police directions, and check the latest updates on the Transport Department website or the HKeMobility app.
