Taxi, bus, motorcycle collide in Kwun Tong in first major crash of 2026

A three-vehicle collision involving a taxi, bus and motorcycle occurred in Kwun Tong just 15 minutes into the new year, sending one driver to hospital.

The accident happened around 12.15am at the roundabout near Kwun Tong Fire Station. The taxi reportedly collided with a bus, then swerved out of control, hitting railings on the pavement and a motorcycle that was either parked or passing by.

The taxi’s front was severely damaged with parts scattered. The taxi driver suffered minor injuries and was taken conscious to hospital.

Police closed part of the road and are investigating whether the crash involved running a red light or illegal lane changing.
