Sino Group and Ng Teng Fong Foundation spread Christmas cheer to underprivileged

Sino Group and the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation have launched festive initiatives to bring warmth and support to vulnerable communities during the Christmas season.

Volunteers from Sino Caring Friends visited districts, delivering gift packs to underprivileged families, students, and people with disabilities at places like Precious Blood Children’s Village, local schools, and the Wellness Lodge transitional housing project. Some young recipients shared their gifts, embodying the holiday spirit of generosity.

The Group also hosted festive buffet lunches for over 200 people with disabilities and low-income families at The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong and Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel.

Additionally, the Hearty Soup Delivery Programme distributed hot soup to more than 700 elderly residents across five districts for winter comfort.

The Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation donated to over 80 community organizations, recognizing their dedication to social services. It also awarded scholarships to 208 secondary students from disadvantaged backgrounds, aiming to inspire pursuit of dreams and foster hope.

Established in 2010, the foundation focuses on poverty alleviation and support for vulnerable groups through partnerships with small and medium-sized organizations addressing rehabilitation, mental health, child and youth development, and ethnic minority needs.

Nikki Ng, Director of Philanthropy at Sino Group and the foundation, highlighted gratitude towards community partners for their compassionate service.

She emphasized that true care involves aiding immediate needs while promoting growth and development.

The scholarship program, running since 2015, has supported 1,357 Hong Kong students, encouraging them to contribute positively to society.

The foundation remains committed to collaborating for a more inclusive and caring community.
