Technology Innovation Co-operation Zone, noting that they can base research and certification in Hong Kong while putting production in Shenzhen.
Among the new arrivals is a Xiamen sodium-ion battery producer Hithium Energy Storage Technology, whose shipments rank second globally.
The company announced plans to establish an international research center in Hong Kong.
Co-founder Wang Pengcheng said, “After more than a year of evaluation, we firmly chose Hong Kong as our base, as it perfectly integrates international resources for R&D with the industrial strengths of the mainland.”
Shenzhen-based surgical robot company Yuanhua Tech has also decided to open a second headquarters in the zone, bringing its medical devices into local hospitals and expanding overseas orders.
Two European firms, including Swiss medtech company Spirecut International Limited, have also set up operations, aiming to leverage the zone’s ecosystem to meet regulatory requirements and promote surgical technologies in China.
Founder of Spirecut International, Frederic Schuind, emphasized that Hong Kong provides a convenient launchpad for Asia-Pacific expansion.
Other companies expressed hopes that the park will further attract graduates from around the world to foster exchange and employment opportunities.
