Two drivers were rescued after a dump truck collided with a van on Tai Po Road in Sha Tin on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident occurred near Sha Tin Racecourse at about 5pm. Dashcam footage shows the dump truck descending a bridge when the motorcycle ahead slowed down. The truck driver braked abruptly, swerved left to avoid the motorbike, hit a roadside curb, then swerved right and struck a van in the rightmost lane.

Both drivers were trapped and rescued by firefighters. They sustained minor injuries and were taken conscious to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.
The crash caused significant debris and traffic congestion during the evening rush hour, with partial lane closures remaining as of 7pm. The cause is under investigation.
