A passenger experienced a dangerous fall from a moving truck on a busy Yuen Long road as the incident was captured on a dash cam.
The event occurred around 10.55am on Wednesday (Nov19) as the truck made a right turn onto Tai Kei Leng Road. During the turn, the left-side door of the truck unexpectedly swung open, resulting in the ejection of a man in a blue shirt along with a toolbox and other items onto the roadway.
Fortunately, the passenger was able to get back on his feet without sustaining serious injuries after rolling upon landing.
The truck driver promptly halted the vehicle and hurried to check on the passenger's condition.
The incident has sparked lively online discussion, with many noting that this is not the first occurrence of a passenger falling from a truck.
One commenter remarked, "Not the first time someone's fallen out," while another stated, "Fortunately, the driver wasn't going fast."
There has been speculation regarding whether the passenger had fastened a seatbelt, with some emphasizing that many passenger cabins lack proper seatbelt installations. Others indicated that the door may not have been adequately secured.
