Election posters torn on Connaught Road West footbridge

Approximately 15 election posters were torn at a pedestrian footbridge in Sheung Wan on Tuesday morning, less than three weeks before the Legislative Council election.

Officers received a report around 10.38am regarding multiple campaign posters that had been vandalized along the Connaught Road West footbridge.

Upon arrival, officers found about 15 posters on both sides of the footbridge ripped, showing varying degrees of damage.

The case has been classified as criminal damage and handed over to the Western District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.

This marks the latest in a series of criminal damage cases involving election campaign materials ahead of the LegCo election on December 7.
