Two men have been charged with drug trafficking, one of whom, a 38-year-old taxi driver, is also accused of wounding a customs officer during a raid at Honour Building in To Kwa Wan. The case was mentioned Friday (Nov 14) at Kowloon City Magistrates’ Courts.
The taxi driver faces charges of wounding with intent and trafficking dangerous drugs on November 6 at a flat in Honour Building. He allegedly attacked three customs officers while resisting lawful arrest and trafficked dangerous drugs at the same time and place.
The other man, a 36-year-old unemployed man, is charged with trafficking dangerous drugs on November 12 near a playground along Tin Ha Road, Tin Shui Wai.
Neither defendant was required to plead. Prosecutors successfully applied to adjourn the case to January 23 pending government lab reports. Bail for the unemployed man was refused, and both remain in custody.
