Filipino woman hit by falling brick in North Point, hospitalized with head injury

A 56-year-old Filipino woman was hospitalized after being struck by a falling brick on Electric Road in North Point on Sunday afternoon.

Police received the report around 3pm stating the woman had been hit in the head by a brick that fell from height near 160 Electric Road.

Initial investigation suggests the approximately 4x4 centimeter brick fell from a building's exterior wall. The case has been classified as "allowing an object to fall from height" and assigned to the Eastern District crime squad.

No arrests have been made. The victim remained conscious while being transported to Ruttonjee Hospital for treatment of her head injury.
