2 arrested after police find cache of weapons in Tin Shui Wai village house

Police arrested a man and woman after discovering multiple weapons during an anti-triad operation in a Tin Shui Wai village house on Tuesday afternoon.

Yuen Long District Anti-Triad Unit officers raided the unit following intelligence and investigation, seizing fourteen telescopic batons, four machetes, and two baseball bats.

A 31-year-old local man and 23-year-old local woman were arrested for "possessing prohibited weapons" and "possessing offensive weapons." Both remain in custody for investigation.

Police reiterated that possessing prohibited weapons carries maximum penalties of HK$10,000 fine and three years' imprisonment under the Arms Ordinance, while possessing offensive weapons for unlawful purposes carries up to HK$5,000 fine and two years' imprisonment under the Summary Offences Ordinance.
