Drunk man wielding cleaver arrested after alleged sex service dispute in Sham Shui Po

A drunk man was arrested for possessing an offensive weapon and misleading police after allegedly threatening a sex worker in Sham Shui Po early Tuesday.

Police responded to a report around 1 am about a woman being attacked with a cleaver at 254 Ki Lung Street. Officers arrived to find a drunk man holding a beef cleaver who ignored repeated warnings to drop the weapon, requiring pepper spray for subduing.

Sources indicate the man had previously visited the "one-woman brothel" unit but left without completing a transaction. He later returned intoxicated and armed with a cleaver, prompting the sex worker to refuse service and report an attack.

The suspect sustained minor injuries during arrest and was transported to hospital. Police arrested him for possessing an offensive weapon and misleading officers.
