Personnel from Traffic New Territories South and Kowloon West arrested 14 people during a two-day operation targeting drug driving, drink driving and illegal racing.
The operation conducted on October 5-6 involved setting up checkpoints on major thoroughfares, inspecting suspicious vehicles, conducting anti-racing operations, and administering breathalyzer tests. The New Territories South Traffic Department Task Force utilized drones to support enforcement.
Thirteen men and one woman aged 27-63 were arrested for various offenses including "trafficking in dangerous drugs," "possession of dangerous drugs," "dangerous driving," "drink driving," "drug driving," and multiple traffic violations.

Twelve privately-owned cars with suspected illegal modifications were towed to vehicle detention centers for inspection. Police issued 18 defective vehicle reports, identified 178 speeding violations for subsequent summons, and issued 234 fixed penalty tickets for other traffic offenses.
Police emphasized that impaired driving, illegal racing and vehicle modifications endanger all road users and pledged continued strict enforcement.
