On the main day of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the second night of its three-night run, the iconic Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance will light up the district’s streets tonight, as a 67-meter dragon weaves through the community, praying for peace and prosperity.
Starting at 7.30pm tonight, over 300 performers will guide a massive fire dragon adorned with more than 10,000 glowing incense sticks through the narrow lanes of Tai Hang.
Accompanied by a charming LED-lit mini dragon danced by children, the fiery procession will captivate locals and visitors alike before moving to Victoria Park at 10.30pm, wrapping up at 11.30pm.
This cherished tradition, steeped in history, is a vibrant prayer for safety and prosperity.
For those who can’t make it in person, a live broadcast of the event will bring the dragon’s fiery magic to screens everywhere, ensuring no one misses the Mid-Autumn spectacle.
