Violent attack in Hung Hom park leaves two men injured; suspect at large

Two men were seriously injured in a violent assault at Hoi Sham Park on Saturday at noon, prompting a police manhunt for a suspect believed to have used a sharp object in the attack.

The incident occurred around noon on Yuk Yat Street, where a passerby reported seeing two men, surnamed Yan, aged 24, and Fok, aged 37, bleeding near a chess table in the park.

 One of the victims sustained a severe throat injury, suggesting the use of a knife or similar weapon, while both were struck with a hard object. 

Emergency services quickly transported the victims to a nearby hospital for treatment, though their conditions have not been disclosed.

Police secured the scene and launched an investigation, classifying the case as assault causing bodily harm. 

The suspect, described as a man aged approximately 30 to 40, of medium build, wearing a grey top, black shorts, and grey-white New Balance sneakers, reportedly fled toward Bailey Street along the waterfront with blood on his hands.
