A fierce fire erupted in Fanling on Monday morning, engulfing a unit in flames and sending thick smoke into the sky, as firefighters rushed to the scene to extinguish the flames in 17 minutes.

A fierce blaze broke out in an apartment building in the Luen Wo Hui apartment on Luen Hing Street, sending thick smoke and flames billowing from the unit.
The fire, which started around 11am, rapidly intensified, with flames visible from the street below, drawing a crowd of onlookers.
Firefighters arrived swiftly at the scene, deploying one water jet and a breathing apparatus team to extinguish the inferno in 17 minutes.
Authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire, which left the affected unit heavily damaged.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
