As Hong Kong aims to drive "sports + mega events" development in the city, Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP) has stepped up to support the measures outlined in the latest Policy Address.
Commitment to sports and events integration
The park emphasized its dedication to aligning with government policies to attract more large-scale sports and entertainment events, further solidifying Hong Kong's reputation as "Asia's Events Capital."
In addition to fostering local sports development, KTSP is poised to host major tournaments and international entertainment events, integrating culture, tourism, and sports to enhance the mega-event economy.
HK’s capacity for international mega events
Additionally, the park expressed gratitude to all government departments, partners, and stakeholders for their ongoing support and collaboration.
As Hong Kong's largest integrated sports, leisure, and entertainment landmark, the park has successfully hosted over 30 local and international sports events, including the Hong Kong Sevens and the Hong Kong Football Festival 2025, along with concerts by both international and local artists and various community activities.
The park has welcomed around seven million visitors, with over one million attendees at the main venue, showcasing Hong Kong's unique strengths in hosting international mega events.
HK’s "Home Ground"
Looking ahead, KTSP will continue to align with government initiatives and policies, leveraging its world-class facilities and professional management to advance sports development.
The park is dedicated to promoting sports within the community, supporting elite athletes, positioning Hong Kong as a hub for major international sports events, enhancing professionalism, and developing sports as an industry.
KTSP remains committed to creating a "home ground" for Hong Kong, hosting a diverse range of sports, cultural, and entertainment events that drive social and economic development while fostering positive community well-being.
