This achievement brought Hong Kong's total medal haul to an unprecedented six—comprising three golds, one silver, and one bronze—setting a new benchmark for the city at the international multisport event.
Kwan's path to the podium demonstrated remarkable resilience.
After placing 11th in the qualifiers and narrowly missing advancement in the round of 16, the young athlete staged an impressive comeback in the Repechage, winning four consecutive rounds to reach the finals.
Though he ultimately finished second to Japan's Hashimoto Yuki, his performance earned Hong Kong its first-ever drone racing medal at the Games.

Hong Kong’s chef de mission Wong Po-kee lauded Kwan's technical skill and composure under pressure.
"This medal in an emerging sport underscores the diversity of Hong Kong's sports development," Wong said.
"It represents a perfect conclusion to our World Games journey and inspires future generations of athletes."
