With about three months left until the start of the 15th National Games, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law Shuk-pui expressed her hope for robust public engagement in the event and widespread support for local athletes.
Hong Kong will stage the bowling event of the 15th National Games, which is being introduced as a mass participation event for the first time.
In her remarks at an event on Sunday, the sports chief indicated that the bowling mass participation event is scheduled to take place at the Bowling Centre of Kai Tak Sports Park later this month.
Regarding the competition events of the Games, Law noted that these will occur at multiple venues within the Kai Tak Sports Park and in various locations throughout Kai Tak, commencing in late October and continuing into November.
She emphasized that the objective of transforming Kai Tak Sports Park into "Hong Kong's home venue" for both local and international sporting initiatives is progressing through the launch of the "Raising The Game Scheme" by the Park.
The initiative is designed to enhance sports activities within the Sports Park.
Law conveyed her confidence that, through the collaborative efforts of the government, Kai Tak Sports Park, and support from various community sectors, the Park will emerge as a key platform for attracting high-quality sporting events, fostering a passion for sports among the general populace, and promoting the advancement of local athleticism.
