The annual event encourages an active lifestyle by providing complimentary access to indoor and outdoor venues, including badminton courts, swimming pools, fitness rooms, and water sports centers.
Free facility booking system
To ensure fair access, free sessions will be allocated through a ballot system from July 17 to 23 via the SmartPLAY platform.
Each applicant can select up to three preferred time slots, with results announced on July 26. Successful applicants will receive notifications through SmartPLAY.
From July 28, any remaining slots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for those who missed the ballot. Each person can secure only one free session, regardless of the booking method.
Swimming pools—no booking needed
Public swimming pools will not require prior registration.
Instead, free entry will be granted on a walk-in basis, with queues forming before each session.
Penalties for no-shows
The LCSD reminds users to arrive on time, as latecomers risk losing their slots. Penalties apply for no-shows under the department’s facility usage policy.
Free sports programs across 18 Districts
From 2pmto 6pm, free sports activities—including fitness classes and recreational games—will be held at designated venues citywide.
Coupons for these events will be distributed in July, with details to be announced.
Partner organizations join in
Several community groups will also open their facilities or host free sports programs on August 3. Updates will be posted on the official SFAD website.
