Cyberport expects the development to bolster key I&T sectors, including smart cities, financial technology, and the low-altitude economy, as well as culture, sports and tourism, while driving the growth of strategic emerging industries.
Cyberport chairman Simon Chan Sai-ming described the expansion as a key milestone in the evolution of Hong Kong’s I&T infrastructure.
"[The expansion] will enable Hong Kong to foster new quality productive forces and to drive the development of strategic emerging industries and future industries," Chan said.
Cyberport 5 is part of the technology park’s expansion project. The 10-story building, located in the northwest portion of the park, spans 1.6 hectares with a gross floor area of about 66,000 square meters, including 36,000 sq m of office and co-working space or roughly 30 percent of the park’s current total.

The new building showcases a cascading, curvilinear design that integrates atriums, skylights, and outdoor terraces. Inside, it offers flexible workspaces and purpose-built collaborative zones, all connected to the adjacent campus via elevated walkways.
Cyberport 5 includes fiber optics, multicloud platforms, and 10G broadband services, providing low-latency connectivity. It also supports high-speed submarine cable connections for global network access, international communication, and data transmission.
Another highlight is a multifunction hall for up to 800 attendees, suitable for large industry events. It also offers over 5,000 sq m of public open space, a sunset observation deck, and other viewing facilities.
Cyberport 5 is being built using Modular Integrated Construction technology.
The expansion will enhance the waterfront park with upgraded landscaping, smart facilities, and pet-friendly features. It aims to support quality living through innovation and technology, while fostering an inclusive and sustainable community.
Chan believes Cyberport 5 will attract more domestic and international technology firms and talents to Cyberport, “reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as a global hub for I&T."
