Two men in their 70s were arrested on Friday morning following a physical altercation over elevator access in a residential building in Tsz Wan Shan.
Police were called to Tsz On Court on Yan Wah Street at around 11am after a 74-year-old female resident reported a dispute between her 71-year-old brother and a 70-year-old neighbor.
The conflict allegedly erupted when the two men clashed over space while entering and exiting a lift, leading to pushing and mutual assault.
Officers arrived at the scene and, after initial investigations, arrested both men on suspicion of fighting in a public place.
They are currently being held for further questioning. The case has been handed over to the Wong Tai Sin police district for follow-up.
During the scuffle, the 71-year-old man sustained mouth injuries, while the 70-year-old complained of a headache. Both were conscious and taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
