East Rail Line services delayed due to mechanical fault

At 11.29am on Sunday, the MTR reported a service disruption on East Rail Line to the Transport Department, which caused delays of 10 to 15 minutes for trains running between Admiralty and Lo Wu/Lok Ma Chau.

The railway operator was said to have discovered a mechanical fault from a train near Tai Po Market Station. Affected passengers were transferred to another train.

The issue has since been fixed, and normal service has resumed on the East Rail Line.
