Andy Lau wrestles security to spoil fans with autographs

Hong Kong actor Andy Lau Tak-wah earned praise from mainland fans for spoiling his fans after wrestling with security over giving fans an autograph at a promotional event for his latest movie, A Gilded Game.

A video uploaded to Xiaohongshu on Wednesday captured the chaotic scene where security guards blocked the star from approaching fans seeking autographs. 

However, Lau seized an opportunity when guards were distracted and quickly grabbed paper and a pen from a fan's hands. When guards tried to wrest it back, Lau spun away to sign the autograph with his back turned against the security personnel. 

The event also featured an audience Q&A session, where one attendee posed a playful question, asking the star if he knew what kind of meeting still occurs at 8 or 9pm.

Lau was caught off guard when the audience revealed the punchline—“ It's our date!”—and pretended to take offense while saying, “ I'm leaving now,” drawing laughter from the crowd.
