The race will categorize participants into eight groups, with two tracks measuring 5 kilometers and 3 kilometers, respectively. Both tracks will start and finish at the Youth Sports Ground.
Participants, including elite runners from over 50 local running clubs, will pass by the west bridge, the main stadium, and the dining area facing Victoria Harbour, among other landmarks.
Local professional runner Ferdinand Tsang, known by the nickname "Monster," reminded participants to pay attention to the multiple turns and changes in direction on the running track.
Separately, he believed the fee of HK$18 for using the running tracks during evening hours is reasonable, and the arrangement will reduce the likelihood of the public using the sports field for casual walks.
Tsang added that this would provide a suitable training environment for athletes, avoiding collisions between residents and professional athletes who are training at faster speeds.
He also stressed that the government should provide leisure and sports facilities for residents and guide them to proper locations for exercise during this period.
