At 11.41am today, the owner of a claw machine shop at Tsuen Wan Centre located on Tsuen King Circuit reported that the shop was in disarray, with damaged cameras and several model toys stolen.
Upon arrival, police officers conducted an inventory and discovered that two security cameras, valued at around HK$500, had been sprayed with paint to obscure their view.
Additionally, nine toys, collectively worth about HK$5,000, were missing from the shop.
Security footage reviewed by the police confirmed that the burglary occurred at 5.28am.
The video captured a man in a hoodie entering the shop, spraying the security cameras to obstruct their view, and proceeding to steal the items.
The police have classified the incident as both "criminal damage" and "theft" and are actively searching for the suspect involved.
In response to the burglary, the shop owner uploaded the relevant security camera footage to the internet, which shows the thief with his face covered, revealing only his eyes, as he rummaged through the shop and vandalized the cameras.
