The theme park collaborated with the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi ) to set up the two attractions that cover a total area of 186 square meters.
The herbal garden, named after the lovely Ocean Park character "Captain Whiskers", will introduce the ingredients in herbal teas where visitors can join guided tours and workshops to learn of the stories behind the culture of Chinese herbs.
As for the "Eco-herbal Trail", it will be surrounded by various Chinese herbal plants with information boards detailing the characteristics of different medicinal herbs.
The Ocean Park chief executive Ivan Wong Chi-fai stated that the two attractions aim to provide visitors with an interactive learning platform by combining education, conservation, and Chinese medicinal culture.
Wong expressed optimism that the attractions would inspire the public to explore the rich heritage of Chinese culture.
