A male police officer was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault on Tuesday.

According to sources, a male senior superintendent of the Police Support Division, named Ian Chow Ngai-kong, was suspected of sexually harassing a female civilian employee.
The incident is said to have occurred last Friday (Nov 1), when Chow reportedly made advances towards the female administrative officer inside an elevator at police headquarters.
Responding to media inquiries, the police stated that after the Hong Kong Island Regional Headquarters took over the investigation, a 49-year-old male police officer was arrested in Yuen Long District on Tuesday on suspicion of indecent assault.
He has been suspended from duty and was granted bail pending investigation.
He must report to the police in early December.
The police stated that they attach great importance to the conduct of their officers. The police force will not tolerate any illegal acts of any officer.
