The park said in an update today that the pair of giant pandas, "An An" and "Ke Ke," gifted to Hong Kong by Beijing, are currently undergoing quarantine at the enclosure Sichuan Treasures.
It said their adaptation progress, food intake, and bowel movements are stable, adding that the pair are currently eating four meals a day, with their consumption of Guangdong bamboo taking up to around 60 to 70 percent of their diet.
The park previously said the pandas would be fed bamboo from Sichuan during their transition period in Hong Kong, before slowly making a switch to the Guangdong type.
Commenting on the locally born panda twins, the park noted that they are in stable condition.
They are expected to meet the public around the time of the Lunar New Year, it said, adding the plan is to have their mother Ying Ying, along with her cubs and meet the public together.
