However, with the Blazers said to be signing Muoka to an Exhibit 10 contract, it was understood that the player would be immediately waived and would not participate in training camp. Muoka will likely be assigned to the Blazers’ G League affiliate Rip City Remix this upcoming season, reports suggested.
The G League is often seen as a potential springboard to the NBA. There, NBA teams often develop and gauge the potential of young players and overseas professionals.
Muoka, 23, was selected 3rd overall by the Capital City Go-Go in the 2023 NBA G League Draft and most recently played the Center position for the Long Island Nets in the same league.
He previously revealed he was going through the process of acquiring a SAR passport to hopefully represent the city in the next Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers window in November.
