Job fair for residential care services offers over 1,100 vacancies

A two-day job fair organized by the Labour Department will provide more than 1,100 opportunities in the residential care services sector, which also features on-the-spot recruitment.

About 30 organizations -- including Caritas, The Salvation Army, and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals -- are scheduled to participate in the upcoming fair commencing on Thursday (Sep 26) that will take place at Macpherson Stadium in Mong Kok.

Positions such as care workers, speech therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, nurses, health workers, cooks, program assistants as well as clerks will be offered.

About 97 percent of the vacancies are full-time jobs, with most offering a monthly salary between HK$14,000 and HK$26,000. Most of them require a Secondary Five education level or below.

Meanwhile, around 77 percent of the vacancies are open to job seekers without relevant work experience.

Job seekers can submit applications during the event for potential on-spot interviews, as well as inquiries about employment services at the booths provided by the Labour Department at the fair.
