In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the public may use most of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD)'s fee-charging leisure facilities for free.
Various leisure facilities will be open for public free use on that day. These include indoor leisure facilities like badminton, basketball and squash courts; as well as outdoor leisure facilities like tennis courts, golf facilities; public swimming pools, and craft at water sports centres.
The public can submit balloting applications starting this Saturday (Sep 14) via SmartPLAY. Each user can submit three balloting choices in one application.
The results will be announced by September 23; each person can only book one free session for October 1.
Public swimming pool facilities do not require reservations. Citizens can queue at the entrance during opening hours on a first-come, first-served basis, with entry limited to available spots.
Those who have not been allocated with or applied for the balloted free sessions, can book the remaining free sessions, if any, via SmartPLAY on a first-come, first-served basis at a later stage.
