MTR Corporation said it will gradually strengthen the train services starting at 3 pm on Thursday and maintain limited services once the No 8 typhoon signal is in force.

The railway giant added that its bus services will be suspended three hours after the T8 alert has been hoisted.
If the No 9 signal is issued, open-air trains will stop at their final destinations or stations connected to shopping centers, while limited train services will still be provided for its underground sections.
The Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) and Long Win Bus (LWB) said they will keep providing normal service on all routes until at least two hours after the T8 signal takes effect. While the T8 signal is hoisted, 33 routes including those operating in Sha Tin, Kwai Tsing, and Tsuen Wan will provide only limited services and some may be altered due to weather or actual road conditions.
Citybus said it will strengthen its bus services this afternoon to facilitate commuters leaving work, with special bus services set to start gradually from 4 pm. It will also maintain the daytime services for around 2 to 3 hours when the T8 is in effect.
Routes B3X, B7 (direct trip between Fanling Station and Heung Yuen Wai Port), and S1 will provide a limited level of service depending on the actual situation.
Meanwhile, TurboJet said it will maintain limited services for the Hong Kong - Macau (Outer Harbor) route during the No 3 signal, while other ferry services have been suspended for the day.
All sailing services will be suspended upon issuance of the No 8 signal, it added.
The ferry/kaito services between Aberdeen - Po Toi Island, Ma Liu Shui - Tap Mun, Wong Shek - Tap Mun, Sha Tau Kok - Lai Chi Wo/Ap Chau/Kat O, Tai Shui Hang - Lai Chi Wo/Kat O/Ap Chau, Tseung Kwan O (South) - Sai Wan Ho, Tuen Mun - Tung Chung - Sha Lo Wan - Tai O are suspended until further notice.
